Charene, Exercise Specialist
Charene will be joining our team in late November and is thrilled to begin working with us! She is a born and raised Washingtonian, graduating from Yelm High School in 2014. Track and Field was a huge part of her life competing at multiple USATF National Junior Olympic meets and becoming an All American in the shot put. This love for Track and Field continued into her college years at Pacific Lutheran University. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Kinesiology with a Minor in Sport Psychology from PLU in 2018. After graduation she started a career as a high school PE teacher, but came to the realization that she wanted to work in a clinical environment. She has worked as a rehabilitation technician in multiple clinics for nearly 6 years, which guided her to find her true calling into manual therapy. She will soon graduate from the Northwest Academy of Healing Arts and become a Licensed Massage Therapist. In her most previous job, she worked to promote and educate others in DEI for her region and is a strong advocate for the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC community. She strives to make sure that her patients feel comfortable and heard so that they get the absolute best care possible. A love for learning pushes her to find new ways to improve and adapt to become an outstanding practitioner. In her free time, she loves to explore new places with her partner, family, and friends and is always looking for new song recommendations. All in all, she is ready to begin this new journey with us at Pursuit Physical Therapy and very excited to meet you!
